Julio Guzman


Julio Guzman, a known and dedicated educator who is goes the extra mile for the success of students. Skilled in training students in the fields of Internet-working, Electronics, Robotics, and CAD. In addition a Networking consultant for two non- profit organizations. 
Also a CSULA Alumn, c/o 92. 

Julio a current educator, consultant and a father; a SkillsUSA advisor for 13yrs. Mr. Guzmans students had won 3 National Medals; one Gold in 6/16 and two Silver in 6/14 as well as his former students winning 21 State Gold Medals for 11 straight years in the SkillsUSA state competitions.

Also, a volunteer for the California State SkillsUSA Competition 7 yrs as a judge in the area of Electronics and other related networking fields.

Julio Guzman has been an educator for over 20 years and has been consulting within that time frame for a couple of non-profit organizations.
In addition to a regular teaching assignment at Somerset High School, he also teaches robotics at 3 different organizations for the youth 1) “Skills Organization.org”, a Non-profit organization located in Whittier, CA; 2) Cerritos College Community Education; 3) Volunteer teacher for the Team-Science during the summers since 1997, and also 4) Teaching Internetworking at CSULA Part Time.

When he isn’t teaching he is assisting the local girls softball league as a board member, also a board member for the local Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) chapter #233 and is also a family man raising his 4 kids with his wife for over 15 yrs.

Known as a consultant by 2 non-profit companies 1) S2 productions and 2) Latino Scholastic Achievement Corporation & Armando F Sanchez Production assisting and offering technical assistance & solutions to allow their multimedia organization to continue.

Many people have asked why teach… the response, “I’m not in it for the money.”

Julio is a Regional SkillsUSA Advisor of the year recipient in the year 2010, also an LACITEA Teacher of the year recipient in the Year 2008.

He is continually seeks to increase his skills and knowledge by attending workshops, seminars and conferences yearly, for the benefit of helping his students.

Julio spends the rest of his time just being a dad.
